Description

This no-fuss peach cobbler uses only four simple ingredients and delivers a warm, golden, buttery dessert that’s crisp on top and gooey underneath. It’s the easiest way to enjoy a classic Southern treat any time of year.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (29 oz) can sliced peaches in syrup (undrained)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place butter in an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish and melt it in the oven.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and sugar. Stir in the entire can of peaches with syrup until just combined.
  3. Pour the mixture over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  4. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

The batter rises through the butter and fruit for a self-forming crust — no stirring needed!
