Description
This no-fuss peach cobbler uses only four simple ingredients and delivers a warm, golden, buttery dessert that’s crisp on top and gooey underneath. It’s the easiest way to enjoy a classic Southern treat any time of year.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (29 oz) can sliced peaches in syrup (undrained)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place butter in an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish and melt it in the oven.
- In a bowl, mix flour and sugar. Stir in the entire can of peaches with syrup until just combined.
- Pour the mixture over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
The batter rises through the butter and fruit for a self-forming crust — no stirring needed!
