Description
This quick and satisfying Sloppy Joe recipe uses only three ingredients for a no-fuss, nostalgic meal. With just ground beef, Sloppy Joe sauce, and hamburger buns, dinner is ready in under 20 minutes—perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) Sloppy Joe sauce
- 4–6 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.
- Drain any excess fat if using regular ground beef.
- Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.
- Optionally toast buns in a dry skillet or under a broiler for 1–2 minutes.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto buns and serve hot
Notes
Toasting the buns adds crunch and helps prevent sogginess.
For a lighter version, ground turkey or lentils can be used as substitutes.
